Big Spring Clean

Did you know that the annual cost of cleaning up litter in England is now 1 billion pounds? At Gainford CE we are proud of our beautiful environment and always take part in the Big Spring Clean to keep it that way. Each class is allocated a different part of the village, for example the Village Green, the Riverside and School Lane and spends an hour or so making it litter-free and safer for wildlife. The children learn that they must never drop litter.
