Praise Indeed

Neil (School Governor)

Howard

The children's work in the committee room of the village hall is wonderful and it has been displayed beautifully. Please thank everyone involved.

Would it be possible to leave the display for a few weeks so more people get the opportunity to see it?

Regards

Neil (School Governor)

School Governor

Just wanted to say a big thanks for this morning. It was such a lovely couple of hours and the children were fantastic. My guess is that we planted at least 160 trees and probably a lot more.

Re:  Congratulatory letter from Nick Gibbs

This is a fantastic achievement and reflects our opinion of this excellent school! We have been really impressed with the atmosphere, enthusiasm and quality of the school since my child started in September. This is even more impressive given the obvious difficulties with funding.

Val McFarlane - Anti-bullying Consultant

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our visit to Gainford C of E Primary School today. We were made to feel very welcome and the children and staff were lovely, a real credit to you. I do hope that they enjoyed our roadshow and learned a lot about friendships and bullying, and we wish the leisure leaders every success with their work.

Praise from our new Vicar

When I first arrived I was impressed by the involvement of school children in community events such as the Fun Day and more recently both Gainford Show and the Leek Club Show. I continue to be impressed by the open good manners and happy disposition - I was greeted and welcomed proactively and have been since!

Queen's Birthday Celebration

On behalf of my son's two grandmas who attended the church ceremony and lunch on Friday we would like to thank you all for what sounds like a wonderful celebration. The grandmas were so impressed with every part of the day and commented on the wonderful atmosphere in the dining room and how friendly the children were. Not to mention the delicious food they sampled!
I only wish I wasn't at work!

A pleased parent - from parent survey

I have a very happy and confident young girl who loves her school, friends and really enjoys learning. The teachers and the support staff are very good at making everything so very enjoyable. So happy with everything about the school and the hard work everyone puts in, including the children.

A New School Governor

Thank you so much for inviting me to your Friday assembly. It was an absolute joy! The children were so well behaved, and it was lovely to hear stories of progress and initiative behind the Headteacher Awards. You have a lovely school – you should all be very proud.

Thank You

Caroline O'Neill, Director of Education

My apologies for the delay in emailing to thank you very much indeed for the very warm welcome you gave me during my visit to Gainford Primary earlier this week. I was very impressed by everything I saw in school and will have a lasting memory of a school with a strong and inclusive ethos in which every child is very well known and very highly valued. Please thank your vice chair of governors for calling into school during my visit. It was a pleasure to meet him. Please also thank all the staff for allowing me to interrupt their morning.

I would also be grateful if you would pass on my sincere thanks to your children who were so delightfully engaging. I thought your year 5s and 6s asked some very mature questions which impressed me greatly. They had clearly put a lot of thought into what they would like to know from someone doing my job in County Durham. So well done to them all!

Thanks again for a most enjoyable first visit to your school.

Woodland Skills

A huge thank you for the opportunity to do the woodland skills. It was an excellent activity and both the Rachel's were fantastic with both us as parents and with the children. I really felt like I had quality time with my child with working full time and generally busy. I'm so pleased I prioritised the time  xx

Lego Programming

I would like to say what a great event this morning’s Lego Programming was. Really enjoyed it, and being in the school again. It was so nice to be able to see my child work out the programming and interact with him in his school environment. We are very lucky to have such a school as Gainford and I do appreciate all that is done to help my child.

An impressed volunteer

Dear Mr Blindt
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to come and help at your school. I very much enjoyed yesterday afternoon and found the atmosphere happy and safe. It felt good to be part of a team again.
Yours sincerely

Middleton Auction Mart

I hope the children enjoyed their trip to Middleton Mart this morning, they were a great group, very well behaved and asked some really good questions.
Many thanks

Kind words from Civic Pride

It’s always lovely to be in your school Mr. Blindt – everyone is so welcoming – honestly it’s really nice. Thank you so much for taking the time out for putting in an application for the Tidy Ted award – gives the children another chance to see Tidy Ted. And thank you for signing up for the Big Spring Clean – I can definitely say that you are the first one to be signed up this year

Sustainability Day

We had a great day - the children were fantastic! They actively participated in all of the activities, and had such a wealth of prior knowledge that it made the day an absolute pleasure to deliver. The team got a huge amount out of the day working with such supportive staff and keen children. The feedback we have had has been incredibly positive and many of the children were able to complete their own definition of sustainability at the end of the day. We were particularly impressed with the skills demonstrated by class one who were even able to tie knots!

Annual Statutory Reviews

I was in Gainford Primary delivering the second session and we were looking at how they had accessed the views of a child who had had their SAR that morning. It was great. I wondered if you were gathering examples of good practice? My principal has seen them and thinks they are great too. Again many thanks to all

Message from Eiko Tatematsu, visiting professor from Tokyo University

Dear Mr.Brindt.
Thank you so much to spend your time for us. I’m in a Hotel in London, Heathrow now I wanted to see how inclusive education putting out into practice in England. It seemed that children with disabilities were naturally included in their class. The reasons why, I think, teachers respect each individuals and their gift in spite of with or without disabilities, and small class is more efficient. I felt “mind barrier free” in teachers was important. Though the driving was terrible after school, (please ask the details for Yoshiaki) I enjoyed the visit to Gainford, and learned many precious things. Please give my best to all staffs in your school. I don’t mind if this mail would be opened to them. Sorry,my English conversation was poor. If I could come again, I would study more.
